Back to back racing………the last few weeks have seen team members busy putting all the training to good use. Some of the boys braved the North East Sea again at Suncity, for those that managed to get past the waves they went on to post 7^th for Phil Smith 11^th for Phil Coulson 14^th for Andrew Mcrae our newest member 20^th for Mick Golightly 21^st for John Barker. After Suncity some of the team went on to Prince Bishops where Eliot Gowland claimed 9^th place and John B 14^th Iain got back into the swing of things on his pink flying machine and managed to get some well deserved wolf whistles from the girls (not the boys!!). Next was Tyne & Wear Fire brigade not just for the buffet, the team nearly more than half filled the top ten with Phil Coulson grabbing 4^th narrowly missing 3^rd by 7 seconds, Phil Smith 5^th, Andrew Mcrae 6^th , John Boy 7^th Mick Golightly got 14^th and 2^nd Fire Fighter and Eliot Gowland 18^th .

 

There’s some fantastic results in there especially since some of the team are in deep training for UK Ironman, looking at the Fire Brigade results it seems that some of the times would have been good enough to win last years race or place even higher which just shows how fast the boys are going and how deep the competition is getting; all very exciting for next year.

Adding to the list of results Fraser raced the Nationals in Wales getting 11^th place having a few issues with the bike chain meant he couldn’t get away on the bike which I think may have been the plan and Woody raced the Hungarian Nationals yesterday, another hot day of racing where Woody enjoyed attacking the bike trying to make in-roads to some very fast swimmers.

So next on the schedule I believe may be Teesdale for some 70.3 Timberman for Fraser and UK IM for others, it seems we are fast running out of races and before we know it we will back at the cross country’s and mountain biking so get the races in quick before there all gone!!
