Winter Training Camp MTB

30th October 2008

MTB winter training Camp Dec 5th - Dec 7th.

The camp is at Winlatter forrest near Keswick and the focus is to be on off season fun training. The plan is to arrive Friday evening and have a social night. Sat morning will be mountain biking followed by trail running. Sat afternoon will consist of lectures/discussion on strength and conditioning for triathlon (with practical demos), nutrition and planning winter training, then more trail running. Sat eve will be pub for food and social. Sun morning will be MTB and trail running, sun afternoon group strength and conditioning session then off home.

Pro Ironman and 70.3 athlete Alun Woodward (will have just returned from the 70.3 world Champs) will be at the camp and lecturing on planing winter coaching. This is your chance to get an in site into what the pros do to train.

As you can see from the image of the venue, the place is in a fantastic setting and is right on the trails. However, the word Camp is quite apt as you will need to bring your own bedding/sleeping bag & pillows and the rooms have bunk beds, but it is just what we need for a training camp . It does have a very good kitchen, lecture room and communal room (possible s&c area), and we have the place to ourselves. Also there are a few pubs serving food (good food by all reports) just a few hundred meters away.

The the cost will be £110 for the weekend and numbers are limited to 28.

If you would like to come and/or have friends who would like to come please RSVP by e-mailing phil@totalracinginc.com
