Back for a second year celebrating music, fashion and art. Organised by Urbis and led by Peter Saville and a panel of industry experts, the competition spotlights the work of Manchester’s creatives with no age limit, no hype and no rules. Last year’s inaugural Best of Manchester featured a musical based on the life of Jackson Pollock and Art Deco-inspired commercial design with categories deliberately broad to encourage entries that blur boundaries, mix disciplines and are genuinely innovative. The exhibition of shortlisted work is at Urbis from 8 August until 28 September. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 7 August.
