Tell me about your cartoons.I started drawing in a potato style in my early teens. You can see some early examples of my work in the gallery on this site. Over the next 5 years or so, the style simplified into what you see today. I do all my own record & cd covers, most of my gig flyer designs, and all the artwork for my videos & club visuals. For the videos, animation companies such as Box & Cosgrove Hall did the clever stuff, and with the club visuals, Jim Dawson of the soup collective in Manchester performs the boffinry, as well as doing the visuals when I tour. Examples of both the videos & club visuals can be seen in the gallery on this site.

How do,"Do you sell any posters of your artwork? I went to the 'Flyer as Art' exhibition in Manchester and really liked your cartoon strip on getting ready/going on a night out. Is it available for purchase anywhere?

hi gefall those cartoons were taken from flyers. So far, we have not done any posters of flyers, although there were some limited prints done for the 'flyer as art' exhibiution

Aye, saw that they were selling some posters but I was a bit brassic at the time. Would be sweet if you did print some of the old flyers, keep me informed :wink:Ta Chief.

The oil rig cartoon you did, thats on the website in the gallery is ace.I had it as my desktop wallpaper for months.
your cartoons are awesome - so simple yet fantastic! Can't get enough of them. Am a teacher of media in london and have recently been teaching CD cover designs - was wondering how you decide to come up with your concepts and include such a strong narrative? My students are intrigued into your designs - quite funny really - have transformed a number of students into becoming fans of your music and designs!
Do you sell your designs at all aside from posters? I would be interested in buying any prints if you do!

Hey Mr Scruff! I went to a gig of your in Bath a year ago and saw something spectacular. One of your cartoon speakers _almost_ bouncing in time with the music. I thought there should be more of that. Since then I've learnt how to speak computer, and written a big program which takes animations and beat matches them spot on in time with the music. So simple, yet stunningly effective... actually mixing visuals with breaks just blows my mind. Maybe you'd be up for this, maybe not, but if you ever fancy a night of bringing your cartoons to life with your beat maybe we could hook up? I'm not after money, just blowing minds. I'm still in Bath if you're ever passing. Peace and love bro! Your albums are #1 in our lab
cheers skinnye! jim, who animates my visuals, may be interested in finding out about your new program..i know what you mean about the animations almost being in time, there is always a slight latency issue with the animations..give me your email address if you would like me to pass it on to him, you can either post it here, or email it to info@mrscruff.com
Hey thanks man, that was fast! I've emailed the 'info' address... hope it makes it through the pile. Have a corker ;-)
(I was thinking, onion bhajis right? They're made out of onion, and they're round. Just like an onion. But you can eat them??!!! Thank god for India. )
hey mr scruff, looking forward to seeing you at nottingham stealth again
my question does regard your art though, was wondering where i can get a list of all the art you have avaliable for sale in your lovely little tea shop, i'm after a screen print, ideally one involving tea for my girlfriends birthday!
